*Meerut Metro* ➡️ The Meerut Metro Project has been under consideration since 2016 when Rail India Technical and Economic Services prepared a detailed project report and submitted it to the state government. PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the Meerut Metro Project on 8th March 2019 along with RRTS. Construction of the mentioned project was started in June 2019 and is expected to be completed before the deadline of June 2025.
*Delhi Meerut Rapid Rail* ➡️ The Delhi Meerut RRTS project is an 82.15 km long semi-high-speed rail and regional transit corridor connecting the NCR (National Capital Region) cities of Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut. It is the first and one of the four rapid rail corridors planned under the 1st phase of the RapidX project managed by the NCRTC.
