National Research Institute of Unani Medicine for Skin Disorders (NRIUMSD), Hyderabad is an apex Institute of Unani medical research in the country, working under the aegis of Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) - an autonomous organization under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. It was established in 1971 as the ‘Central Research Institute of Unani Medicine’ (CRIUM), Hyderabad to undertake scientific research on various aspects of the Unani System of Medicine. In 2019, the Institute was upgraded to an institution of National importance and renamed as ‘National Research Institute of Unani Medicine for Skin Disorders’ (NRIUMSD), Hyderabad. It is a unique institution having a perfect blend of ancient Unani wisdom with Modern technology
