Mujer Asertiva

“I see huge opportunity for women to achieve their dreams, support themselves, and succeed with the right tools,” says Mexico City-based Lisseth Mondragón, who, for more than 10 years, has honed a passion for helping women overcome adversity and reach their goals.

Driven to connect with more women in business and strengthen their leadership, in 2016 Lisseth, a chemical engineer by trade, launched Mujer Asertiva (Assertive Woman), a coaching and mentoring program for other female entrepreneurs.

With interest in her services — including one-on-one and group coaching, mentoring sessions, online conferences, and monthly challenges — growing, Lisseth needed a way to connect with more women with a consistent message. So, she began using the WhatsApp Business app in March 2019.

Since she began using the WhatsApp Business app, new client contact, globally, has increased by 40 percent and sales by 10 percent

Now, Lisseth connects with all 300 of her clients — spread across 10 states in Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Peru, and Spain — via the app. She estimates that since she began using the WhatsApp Business app, new client contact, globally, has increased by 40 percent and sales by 10 percent.

The app’s labels feature helps Lisseth organize her diverse clientele by the services they want, and the quick replies feature has boosted her efficiency in responding to frequently asked questions — from workshop invites to reminders and follow-ups.

“I get a notification, and it’s much more feasible to see a message via WhatsApp than any other platform,” says a customer based in Tuxtla, Chiapas — more than 520 miles away from Mexico City — and participates in Lisseth’s Mujer Asertiva’s program remotely.

With the WhatsApp Business app enabling Lisseth to share her learnings with more women, global impact is within reach.

“In the next five years I see myself leading more online conferences. And in five years, I would like to have 5,000 students,” she says, eager to build her clientele across Latin America and Europe; empowering a new generation of female leaders in the process.
