Croqueta 2 Go

Struggling to find quality dog food for his two Boxers Lola and Oscar, Guillermo Toriz began researching and sourcing hard-to-find brands in the nearby area. In 2011, after years of curating his favorites, Guillermo launched Croqueta 2 Go, a premium dog food delivery service in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Guillermo says one of the biggest challenges he faced while growing his online-only business was managing his client list and repeatedly entering their details and their orders into his system.

“We started using WhatsApp Business nearly a year ago, and the application has helped make our process much more efficient,” says Guillermo.

Prior to using the WhatsApp Business app, Guillermo sold an average of 210 bags of dog food every month. But with the efficiency tools of the app, he is now able to connect with more customers and handle more requests than he had previously, resulting in a 30 percent increase in sales.

Croqueta 2 Go has approximately 2,000 customers, and Guillermo says the WhatsApp Business app’s labels feature helps him categorize their purchases. In addition, the quick replies feature has increased his business’s efficiency — he is able to respond to customer requests about a minute faster, he says — setting it apart from the competition.

Guillermo’s customers like interacting with him via WhatsApp, too.

“With WhatsApp I can order the moment I remember instead of waiting for business opening hours,” says Erick Alonso Bernal, who uses Croqueta 2 Go to feed his three German Shepherds.

“It’s very nice with WhatsApp. In fact, I don’t even know where their store is,” chuckles Javier Briseño, who used to travel long distances to buy quality dog food for his pooch before signing up for Guillermo’s service.

Croqueta 2 Go recently added its very own dog food brand to its offerings, and over the next few years, Guillermo wants to bolster the brand’s physical presence by opening stores across Guadalajara. All of this fits his primary mission: to make quality dog food more accessible because healthy and happy dogs make for better companions.
