Saanjh

In 2017, Sarika Agrawal noticed that the market was flooded with all sorts of blended and refined oils claiming false health benefits. This led to her founding Sarika Ventures Pvt Ltd offering products under the brand, Saanjh.

Saanjh is a niche health and wellness brand that offers virgin cold-pressed oils made from raw materials that are ethically sourced – be it apricot kernels from abroad, or mustard and peanuts from Jodhpur. The ingredients that go into making Saanjh oils are subjected to screening and each product is 100 percent pure and natural.

“The process of sedimentation is used to separate clear oil from the oil expellers. This oil helps mitigate health issues such as heart disease and obesity. Its application heals the skin and bone issues. You know what’s the best part of these oils? They are consumable and externally applicable,” says Sarika.

Saanjh uses WhatsApp to market their products, educate their target audience, and receive orders.

Her business was built on the WhatsApp platform, and is growing at a range of 35-40 percent annually

“WhatsApp is like an immediate response space with ready audience groups of like-minded people,” says Sarika. She says the biggest challenge was finding like-minded people in one space and that WhatsApp groups made it easier to bring individuals who were focused on adapting to a healthier lifestyle together.

Her business was built on the WhatsApp platform, and is growing at a range of 35-40 percent annually. And with the help of WhatsApp, Sarika is able to share her products with other health-minded people across India.
