This WhatsApp Shops Privacy Policy helps explain our information practices when you use our Services or Business Services to discover, browse, and purchase products from Facebook Shops on WhatsApp (“Shops”). When we say “WhatsApp”, “our”, “we” or “us”, we are referring to WhatsApp LLC.

Shops contains links to or integrations with other Facebook Company Products, in particular Facebook Shops, which is the version of the Shops experience that is provided by Facebook, Inc. through Facebook and Instagram. When you interact with these other Facebook Companies, you may be providing information directly to them, to WhatsApp, or to both. These Facebook Companies will have their own policies describing their collection, use, and disclosure of information, which we encourage you to review.

This Shops Privacy Policy supplements (i) WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy, which applies to the use of all our Services, including Shops, and (ii) the data practices set forth in our WhatsApp Business Terms of Service (“WhatsApp Business Terms”), which apply to businesses who use our Business Services, including Shops. If you use WhatsApp to message a business on Facebook Shops, we may receive information from Facebook about how you interact with the business and its products, such as the products you view and purchase, the features you use, and the actions you take.
• Other Facebook Companies. We share information about your Shops activities, such as the products you view and purchase, the features you use, the actions you take, and information that identifies you as a WhatsApp user, with the other Facebook Companies, which they process under their own terms and privacy policies. For example, the other Facebook Companies may use this information to help you to complete payment transactions; to create experiences that matter to you on Facebook Company Products, such as by showing you recommendations, relevant ads, and sponsored content; to improve your Shops experience across the Facebook family of apps by showing you products you may be interested in; to provide customer support; and to promote safety, security, and integrity, such as to detect and prevent fraud and other misconduct, as well as for legal purposes like satisfying contractual obligations and complying with legal responsibilities.
