Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced localization subject matter knowledge to make strategic recommendations for the growth of this team
  • Evaluate current localization tools and processes and make suggestions for improvements
  • Educate engineering teams on the role out and priorities of localization. Continuously improve the ability to deliver translations efficiently
  • Work with Tools Team on technical specifications
  • Evangelize internationalization standards and best practices. Raise awareness and educate cross-functional partners
  • Manage localization specialists, promoting creativity and providing guidance
  • Analyze current challenges and pain points and provide optimal solutions
  • Oversee the quality of all translated content
  • Project manage in-house and external localization contractors
  • Develop and execute a localization schedule, in tandem with our Content team
  • Collaborate closely with our Content Lead, to ensure that the localization and content teams form a cohesive Content & Localization Vertical

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree from the United States or equivalent university degree from another country
  • 2+ years of Program Management experience. Proven abilities in project planning, resource and risk management
  • 2+ years localization experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of internationalization and localization
  • Experience with localization platforms, file formats and CAT tools or any similar in-house localization tools and platform that manages and/or automates the translation workflow.
  • Demonstrated understanding of statistical analysis
  • Fluency in at least one language other than English (writing, reading, speaking)
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to balance independent tasks / goals while contributing to team goals and collaborating with other team members
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
  • No international relocation

Preferred Qualification

  • Understanding of the technical architecture of complex and highly scalable web applications
  • Coaching and management experience
