In this role, the person will have responsibility for the implementation of the risk management operations and the AML compliance program for WhatsApp Application Services Private Ltd, India(“WAI”). In general, the person performing this role will be responsible for oversight of risk management activities and ensuring that where such operations are outsourced, that appropriate risk assessment and oversight of those arrangements is in place. Other responsibilities include the prevention of money-laundering, and compliance with rules related to WAI partnerships.
Oversight of all risk management activity for WAI, including operational, KYC and AML
Management of local risk management strategy and risk appetite
Ensuring that operational activity aligns with the risk appetite of the company
Ensuring that any new regulated activities which the entity intends to adopt are developed according to the risk management strategy
Supervise key risk indicators against prescribed limits and providing monitoring and testing results updates to the appropriate governance bodies and senior leadership
Be responsible for the measures to prevent money-laundering and for the communications with partners and regulators.
Be responsible for compliance with current anti money-laundering regulations and other relevant legislation
Lead preparation of risk reports for the partners and regulators where required
Be responsible for reporting suspicious activities to the relevant partners and authorities as required
Be responsible for arranging and implementing inspections and audits from third-party organizations and regulatory bodies
Ensure that any new regulated products which the entity intents to launch in the future comply with all applicable regulations with regard to the prevention of money-laundering
10 years experience in international financial services or in a similar role covering AML, KYC and related activities.
Deep expertise in the roll out of corporate compliance policies and to contributing to global standards
Experience interacting with other process leads, cross-functional teams and deptartment or functional leaders.
Experience building relationships and working collaboratively as part of a team.
