The WhatsApp Program Management team is looking for a highly self-driven, detail-oriented and analytical individual to join a new function supporting strategic cross-company privacy regulatory response efforts. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working on complex global privacy regulations & laws, have strong programmatic experience, can lead without authority and be able to work independently in an ambiguous and dynamic environment. As a Program Manager on the team, you will fully immerse yourself in bringing structure and efficiency to high profile projects in the privacy regulatory compliance space.
Structure and lead complex cross-functional privacy regulatory programs for WhatsApp and coordinate inter and cross-company initiatives
Drive coordination & implementation of regulatory responses for global laws
Work closely with members of product, engineering, operations, communications, policy, legal to operationalize recommendations
Manage large cross-functional teams and influence decision-making within leadership audiences
Gather and analyze large amounts of information quickly in order to problem solve and drive decision-making effectively
Project manage and prioritize work based on urgency and complexity
Identify & drive strategic opportunities and efficiencies in privacy regulatory programs, including prioritization frameworks, and tools for proactive compliance
Prepare communication materials and progress tracking for multiple audiences including preparing and delivering presentations to leadership stakeholders
8+ years of work experience in program management, management consulting and business or strategic operations
Demonstrated record of problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective communication with cross-functional audiences and interpersonal skills
Experience working with technical and business stakeholders (including leadership)
Track record of successfully partnering with cross-functional teams, driving alignment, effective escalations and achieving results
Experience setting priorities, multitasking and working independently in a dynamic, rapidly/changing workplace
Demonstrated understanding of privacy regulatory landscape
Experience translating regulatory requirements into business and product roadmaps
MBA
Experience with GDPR, EPD, LGPD, CCPA and other privacy regulations
CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT certification
Experience working in a fast paced technology company
Experience on privacy regulations in international markets
