This role is focused on growing our WhatsApp Business Platform partner channel which serves mid and large sized clients globally via our channel partners. The Channel Partner Manager will have strong channel and SaaS experience. This candidate should have strong deal, strategy and relationship management experience to grow and accelerate our partner GTM strategy within their specific region and partners. The ideal candidate will possess a strong channel sales or partnerships background that enables them to engage with our resellers and channel partners across the organizations at the VP/SVP level. Candidates should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions and work organisationally to build consensus. We are looking for candidates that are creative, aggressive, and looking to expand their channel partners as measured by customer, volume, and revenue growth.
Manage select WhatsApp Business Platform partners in the region to support scaling of the product and growing the business
Set targets and goals within Partner aligned to regional expectations and ensure delivery against plans
Responsible for managing pipeline information and local client relationships to identify potential new business leads, growth opportunities or future competitive trends
Maintain account plans and build close working relationships with key stakeholders in the marketplace
Present to and consult with management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels
Provide an objective commercial viewpoint based on an in-depth understanding and analysis of commercial and competitive information
Proactively identify and analyze complex, long-term, critical infrastructure problems with cross functional leaders and stakeholders
Support ideation, partnership development, and launch of innovative business products and services
Present to and consult with management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels
Along with cross functional teams, create, maintain and influence relationships with key ecosystem players in the region to help establish a narrative of WhatsApp business products
8+ years of experience in Channel partnerships or sales
Seasoned track record of growing channel partnerships with meaningful new customer and/or revenue impact
Strong history of building and driving pipeline within channel partners by evangelising and collaborating with partner sales organizations
Experience in building or managing partnerships and programs around messaging systems in a large-scale environment
Experience in cPaaS, SaaS or enterprise software environments
Proven history of exceeding channels sales or direct sales quotas
Ability to forecast channel revenue accurately with strong CRM skills
Strong analytical skills to determine which programs work and insight to build on that experiences
Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership
Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems
Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones
Capacity to get things done at short notice while collecting information from a variety of internal and external sources
