Strategic Partner Manager, WhatsApp, Indonesia

Strategic Accounts Managers are directly responsible for building relationships and helping clients drive business results on WhatsApp Business API through consultation, education, and support. Ideal candidates will have the ability to drive WhatsApp Business Messaging strategy coupled with a willingness to roll up their sleeves and execute the tactics. Success in this position requires exceptional consultative sales, coaching, and client service skills; a willingness to experiment; the ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-focused environment; and a passion for helping others achieve results. Correspondingly you will create and deliver plans to deliver impact against growth & integrity efforts. You will play a key role in defining and driving impactful client partnerships, solving complex product problems and building programs and infrastructure that power WhatsApp's products and drive growth across the platform.
The candidate will possess superior analytical skills and the ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management. The candidate will thrive in a team-oriented environment, working cross-functionally with the Product, Business Development, Marketing, Operations and Engineering teams to develop new ways we can improve the WhatsApp Business Messaging experience. This is a full-time position based in our Jakarta office.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own account plans to support and unlock WhatsApp Business API adoption and drive client’s business key performance metrics
  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your client portfolio, including escalation and troubleshooting to resolve client issues
  • Collaborate with measurement partners to create learning agendas to help clients measure impact of WhatsApp
  • Responsible for creating strategic relationships that will lead to successful business models for our clients and WhatsApp
  • Set targets and goals within clients Business aligned to regional expectations and ensure delivery against plans
  • Responsible for managing pipeline information and client relationships to identify potential new business leads, growth opportunities or future competitive trends
  • Maintain account plans and build close working relationships with key stakeholders in the marketplace
  • Present to and consult with management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels
  • Provide an objective commercial viewpoint based on an in-depth understanding and analysis of commercial and competitive information
  • Work in a fast-paced and iterative environment with leaders across Engineering, Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Policy and Partner management teams
  • Achieve alignment in ambiguous or contentious areas to drive product decisions
  • Develop and execute the partnership strategies and programs to enable our product and business strategy
  • work with product and engineering teams to identify product gaps that can be addressed through partnerships
  • Proactively identify and analyze complex, long-term, critical infrastructure problems with cross functional leaders and stakeholders
  • Achieve alignment in ambiguous or contentious areas to drive product decisions
  • Support ideation, partnership development, and launch of innovative products and services for verification on WhatsApp
  • Present to and consult with management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels
  • Work with key/ c-level influencers and governments in Indonesia
  • Navigate through complex organizations to bring together influential stakeholders to deliver against a plan

Minimum Qualification

  • BA/BS in Business or management related field (In lieu of degree, 10+ years of relevant work experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales and/ or Business Development
  • Experience delivering partnerships complex project from inception to delivery
  • Proven experience creating, negotiating and closing complex deals
  • Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership
  • Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems
  • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones
  • Capacity to get things done at short notice while collecting information from a variety of internal and external sources
  • Language requirements: Bahasa Indonesia

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience in cPaaS, SaaS or enterprise software environments
  • Experience in building or managing partnerships and programs around messaging systems in a large-scale environment
  • Product Management experience
  • Sales and Channel management experience
