WhatsApp is seeking an exceptional individual to serve as a Strategic Client Manager for our strategic clients in India. If you are a highly motivated team player who has experience in business and product strategy, has a strong bias for action and rolling up your sleeves to get things done, and wants to unlock the potential of WhatsApp to serve millions of businesses, we would be excited to hear from you. This role is focused on growing our business on WhatsApp which serves mid and large sized clients globally. The ideal candidate will have strong Enterprise sales experience, preferably in selling SaaS solutions, especially in a revenue oriented roles with direct ownership for driving goals. The role requires both building and delivering success with our key clients via building & providing right solutions based on business needs, joint planning and driving execution through cross functional teams and external partners. The candidate will possess proven skills around Sales, Customer Management and an ability to effectively influence & communicate with senior levels of management. The candidate will thrive in a team-oriented environment, working with the Product, Business Development, Marketing, Operations and Engineering teams to develop new ways we can improve the WhatsApp Business Messaging experience. This is a full-time position based in our Bangalore/Gurugram/Mumbai office with frequent travel expected within the country.
Builds relationships with stakeholders across business, technical, marketing to gain mindshare on WhatsApp as a strategic platform. Develops a comprehensive understanding of customer's business needs and strategies and offers solutions on WhatsApp as a platform. Creates trust to influence for impact and acts as a trusted advisor to help the customer transform their business.
Develops comprehensive account plans for the portfolio, aligns resources and key stakeholders towards the plan and drives execution to deliver on expected goals for each account. Engages extended team and embraces partners to scale business. Leverages strong sales acumen to set action items and approach to drive big bets and drive new business opportunities based on customer strategy and priorities.
Develops strategies to manage pipeline and meet sales goals by reviewing forecasts, assessing and mitigating risks, and ensuring strategy alignment with business priorities. Leverages available solutions as well as engages partners to build new solutions for customers as per the business priorities of customers.
Actively seeks customer feedback (both formal and informal) of assigned accounts regarding ways to identify and understand the drivers of satisfaction and/or dissatisfaction. Engages Support & Engg. teams to address issues, determine the root cause of problems, remove blockers, and improves customer's overall experience.
Develops compelling, value-proposition presentations (e.g., with the use of business cases) and specialized business plans for customers that drive business outcomes. Demonstrates thought leadership and presents business plans to customers to generate new opportunities.
Along with cross-functional teams, creates, maintains and influences relationships with key ecosystem players in the country to help establish WhatsApp platforms value.
Provides feedback to product and engineering teams to identify product gaps that can help open new, large markets.
Sales and business background, with 10+ years of enterprise selling experience
Possess executive maturity, presence and experience in building trust with senior decision makers and articulating business value to key decision makers
Experience in leading and driving the entire sales cycle, orchestrating virtual selling teams where necessary, leveraging repeatable offerings that maximize revenue and increase customer satisfaction
Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership
Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems
Masters degree or equivalent work experience
