All India Bar Federation (AIBF) is the integrated national platform of lawyers and legal professionals functioning as the Legal Advocacy Wing of the All India Council of Human Rights, Liberties and Social Justice (AICHLS). It is dedicated to strengthening the rule of law, constitutional governance, and access to justice, with special focus on the underprivileged, marginalised, and voiceless sections of society.
Under the unshaken and visionary leadership of Dr. Anthony Raju, Advocate, Supreme Court of India, a widely respected criminal law expert and internationally recognised human rights defender, AIBF works to unite the legal fraternity across India on a common platform of ethical practice, professional excellence, and social responsibility. The Federation believes that law is not merely a profession but a public service and constitutional duty.
AIBF aims to foster meaningful engagement among advocates, jurists, academicians, and young lawyers, while strengthening the relationship between the Bar and the Bench. It actively promotes legal awareness, judicial accountability, legal education reforms, and research in jurisprudence and allied disciplines. Through seminars, conferences, legal aid initiatives, policy dialogues, and public outreach programmes, AIBF contributes to building an informed and empowered society.
Firmly rooted in the ideals of the Constitution of India, AIBF is committed to securing justice—social, economic, and political; equality of status and opportunity; and fraternity assuring the dignity of every individual and the unity of the nation. The Federation works in close coordination with government bodies, statutory institutions, non-governmental organisations, and international platforms to advance human rights and social justice.
AIBF welcomes advocates, legal professionals, institutions, and like-minded organisations who share a commitment to justice, integrity, and human dignity, and who believe in using law as an instrument of positive social change.
