Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC. (BSCPLC), a public limited company under the Posts and Telecommunications Division, oversees the operation and maintenance of the submarine cables in Bangladesh, which helps the country maintain connectivity to the International Information Superhighway. Under Section 5B of the Bangladesh Telegraph and Telephone Board (Amendment) Ordinance 2008, the SEA-ME-WE-4 submarine cable along with its landing station at Cox's Bazar was succeeded by the dissolved BTTB forming a new company named Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL)" & after getting the clearance certificate from RJSC the company name has been changed to "Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC. (BSCPLC)" effective from 17th September 2023.
