My account is going to expire, what do I do?

After using WhatsApp for one year, you will be asked to pay. Prior to your subscription end date we will notify you that payment is necessary to continue using the app. You will not be automatically charged. Should you decide not to pay, simply hit No in the popup to pay at a later time.

To pay for your subscription:

  1. Open WhatsApp
  2. Press the Menu button
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Account
  5. Tap Payment info

  6. Choose a payment option

Some mobile providers may have the ability to pay through your plan. If you do not see the ability to pay through your mobile provider, check this article for possible solutions for this problem. For more information on accepted Google Play Payment methods, see here.

After paying, it may take 3-5 days for your payment to be processed. You will then see your subscription extended either 1 year, 3 years or 5 years, depending on the option you have chosen previously.
